Bikeride for charity
April 2010 Pieter-Bas de Jong (40), Ellen Omvlee (34) and Fenna a cheerful one-year old toddler, will step on their bikes to ride for charity. On March 31st we will leave our hometown "Huizen", The Netherlands, with Fenna behind one of our bikes in her own biketrailer for a bicycle ride to Santiago de Compostela in Spain and back home again. A trip of 6000 kilometers in total (4000 miles).
With this ride we hope to raise money for the "Stichting MS-Anders" (Multiple Sclerosis Foundation) and specifically to a medical research project for restoring the damage Multiple Sclerosis causes to the nerve system. A research project supported by "Stichting MS-Anders" wich is being carried out at the University Medical Centre in Groningen.
